HAPPY NEW YEAR

The beginning of a new year, wow, how did it get here so soon?  As we look ahead into this year it is a time to dream of improvements for both our personal lives as well as in our relationships.  The task is to not let it be just a dream but a reality.  I hope and pray we all put on our new year’s resolutions that we work on our relationship with God.  For we must remember, it is only because of Him that we exist.

A year ago we had such a miserable cold December.  This past December we had a very warm month.  I would like to think we will go through the entire winter in the warm mode.  However, as I am writing this, the weather forecast calls for the temperatures to drop into the 30’s next week as we enter 2012.  So far we have not had any frost and our grass is still green but that will probably end next week. 

Before I close this month, I want to share something with you.  Our church, Canoe Creek Christian Church in St Cloud, Florida, is starting a massive capital campaign to raise funds to complete the church building.  We have been meeting in a school for the past 5 years.  We have started our building but put it on hold due to the economy.  We are now ready to commence building.  We must raise a lot of money.  If any of you find it in your heart to donate to our building fund, we would certainly appreciate it.  Make your checks out to Canoe Creek Christian Church and either send to me or directly to the church.  There is a link from our website to the church’s website to get the address.  We are now averaging about 340 each week and will average close to 400 this winter when the “snowbirds” return.  There is a great need to complete this building.  Thank you and God bless.
