This past month has been busy working cattle.  We are finished with all the branding for this year.  The heat was rough on the calves during the middle of the day.

    Denton will be busy this month herbiciding weeds in the pastures.  We have really had a major problem with weeds since the hurricanes a few years back.  They seem to have brought weed seeds from everywhere.

    We had a large group of young leaders from Osceola County visit the ranch this past month.  It is always a pleasure to have our town folks visit and get a better understanding of the importance of agriculture in our county. 

    I also went to Clemson, South Carolina to the Carolina Brahman Association Sale.  They had many good cattle that brought a very strong average price.  The demand for Brahmans remains strong throughout the United States as well as other countries. 

    Gary Campbell from Kenansville came back and bought some more Brahman heifers and another bull.  Gary, we appreciate  your business and wish you the best as you are starting your Brahman herd.

    As I close this month's newsletter, I want to wish Leslie a happy birthday on July 5th.
