We are located in the heart of Florida, just 18 miles south of St.Cloud on county road 523, also known as Canoe Creek Road. The ranch is easy to get to from either the Florida Turnpike or Interstate 4. It is 30 minutes from Kissimmee, 45 minutes from Disney and the Orlando area. We are also near Lake Kissimmee, Lake Marion, and Lake Cypress.

    Jimmy’s grand father, Pat Johnston Sr., started importing Brahman Cattle into Florida in the 1930’s. Later his uncle Pat Johnston Jr. and his parents Clifford (Chappy) and Aileen (Bill) Chapman operated the ranch with a purebred herd of Brahman Cattle well into the 1950’s. Jimmy then redeveloped some of the old original purebred Brahmans and purchased another small herd of Brahman cattle in 1967. This Brahman herd has become one of the premier Brahman herds  in Florida and the United States. Our cattle have been sold into many States and all over the world including several Central and South American Countries, Thailand, and the Philippines.

    The bulls have been sold for use in commercial cattle operations as well as to other Brahman Breeders for herd sires in their purebred herds. This is what has lead to the Double C Bar slogan "Our Cattle Speak For Themselves". Along with the purebred Brahman Cattle, the ranch also has a herd of commercial and crossbred cattle. Our crossbred herds are made up of Brahman and Angus cattle.
