Purebred Brahmans

​If you look back to the very reason that Double C Bar Ranch came into existence, you will find our connection with purebred Brahman cattle. The Ranch roots trace back nearly 90 years to Jimmy’s grandfather, Pat Johnston Sr., who began importing Brahman Cattle into Florida in the 1930s. Jimmy’s parents, Clifford (Chappy) and Aileen (Bill) Chapman then operated the ranch along with his uncle, Pat Johnston Jr., with a herd of purebred Brahman well into the 1950s. As Jimmy began to take over the ranch operations, he redeveloped some of the original Brahman bloodlines and increased cattle numbers with the purchase of a small Brahman herd in 1967. The ranch has since continued to focus on developing the purebred Brahman herd and has become one of the premiere Brahman herds in Florida, as well as in the United States.  Double C Bar Ranch Brahman cattle have been sold for use in commercial and purebred operations in different states across the country and to countries all over the world including several South and Central American countries, the Philippines, and Thailand.
